We were pleased to have 50 entries submitted to the LLSAP managers' Name the New LLSAP contest. On February 24, the representatives of member libraries on the LLSAP4 Working Group chose their five favorites from the 50, which were:
CAP--Collaborative Automation Project, submitted by Reilly Belli, Wood River Public Library
HAP--Heartland Automation Project, submitted by Ally Maddox, Staunton Public Library
IHRC--Illinois Heartland Resource Connection, submitted by Ruth Straith, Charleston Carnegie Public Library
SHARE--Sharing Heartland's Available Resources Equally, submitted by Rachel Rogers, Riverton High School
LILICAT--Lower Illinois Library Information Consortium, submitted by Linda Johnson, Stacey Vinson, and Erica Hanke, Marion Carnegie Library
The members of the Joint LLSAP Advisory/Governing Boards voted for their favorite among the five, and the winner was announced at that group's meeting on March 19.
And the winner is-- SHARE
Congratulations, Rachel! Your library's new receipt printer will be arriving soon!
In other SHARE news, we have developed a migration site where members can peruse the latest happenings with the proposed LLSAP4 merger. You can find the site at: migration.illinoisheartland.org
Questions about the merger and migration? Please go to the IHLS website, then to the Automation page, then click on Questions, or contact one of the SHARE managers (Joan Bauer, Chris Dawdy, or Traci Edwards).
