IHLS Listservs

The "Exchange" list is the list you'll want to be a member of if you like to get messages about book giveaways, job postings, and questions from your fellow librarians around IHLS.  This list is completely voluntary, but we expect it to have a high membership since this will be the primary place for our libraries to talk with each other.  Very little email will come from IHLS staff to this list.  The primary people who will post to this list are our libraries. 

You must be a member of this list in order to post to this list.  Be sure to subscribe with the email address that you will use to post emails from.  For example, if you have a school email address and a personal email address, make sure you subscribe with the email address that you will use to send messages to the list (or just subscribe with both!)

IHLS Announce list

The IHLS Announce list is where all the official news from the Illinois Heartland Library System will be posted.  All email sent out to this list will be from IHLS staff or designated representatives.  We encourage all library staff, library boards, and library friends groups to be a part of this list.  You will receive newsletters, important announcements, and other news that we think will be of interest to you.  We will make every effort to keep the volume of emails on this list as low as possible, while still keeping you informed.

Most of you are already subscribed to this list.  All emails from this list will have [IHLS-Announce] in the subject field.

This list serv serves the libraries that are members of the new SHARE LLSAP.

On this list, you are encouraged to post tips, request information, and receive messages from SHARE staff about SHARE topics, the Polaris software, and related subjects.

Polaris Mac Users List

The Polaris Mac Users list is a list for SHARE libraries that use Mac computers to get Mac-specific information on connecting to Polaris. All emails from this list will have [Polaris-Mac-Users] in the subject field.

This list serv serves the libraries that are members of elCAT administered from the Illinois Heartland Decatur Office.

On this list, you are encouraged to post tips, request information, and receive messages from elCAT staff about elCAT topics, the Horizon software, and related subjects.
