Library Clerk I - Roxana Public Library District

The Roxana Public Library District is seeking an enthusiastic, customer oriented individual to fill a part time Library Clerk I position. The position requires approximately 6-14 hours of work per week, including evenings and weekends. Applicants must be able to work independently, promote the Roxana Library and all library events, assist patrons with but not limited to; reader’s advisory, technology questions, reference services and excellent customer service.

Business & Outreach Librarian - Vernon Area Public Library District (Lincolnshire)

The Vernon Area Public Library District seeks a dedicated Business & Outreach Librarian to provide library services and support to the businesses, entrepreneurs, and patrons in our community.  Outgoing and motivated, you will help increase and sustain local business support and services by developing and maintaining relationships with community business leaders, chambers of commerce, and small business development centers.  In order to do so you will need to research and recommend business programs, classes, and workshops, and participate in outreach events to enhance the Library's relationship with and services to the business community.  The successful candidate will also teach and develop classes on job searching, business databases, and other business related courses and provide reference and readers’ advisory service on the Adult Services reference desk.

Adult Circulation Clerk - Edwardsville Public Library

The Edwardsville Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, customer oriented individual to fill a part time circulation position at our Adult Service Desk.  The current position will include morning shifts and occasional weekend shifts (approx. 20-28 hours/week).  The ideal applicant will be friendly, have experience working with the public, and be able to work independently.  Primary duties include:

Curator of Special Collections - UIUC

 The Rare Book & Manuscript Library of the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign (UIUC) seeks a Curator of Special Collections to oversee and manage a large and diverse collection of rare materials.  Responsibilities include: reader services and access for special collections, instruction using primary sources, exhibition research, collection development and processing, and public outreach.

Director of the Mortenson Center - UIUC

The Director of the Mortenson Center for International Library Programs of the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign (UIUC) provides dynamic and forward-thinking leadership for the Center's educational and outreach programs, making and maintaining meaningful connections with librarians and libraries around the world to meet the Center’s mission to promote international education, mutual understanding, and peace.  The Center’s goals and projects arise from what partner institutions and organizations see as pressing needs for librarians’ development and the Director must be able to respond effectively to these needs. The prestige of the Center and its work contribute to the Library’s reputation on campus and around the world.  The Director leads efforts to develop innovative training programs for librarians globally and works with Center personnel to secure grants and with Library administration to seek private gifts to fund ongoing and new programs and initiatives. To advance the Center's work, the Director initiates and sustains international collaborations, working with Library and university administration to implement these collaborations.
