Are you planning to attend the ALA Annual conference in Chicago? Are you a member of the resource sharing community? Are you excited to learn more about OCLC’s new service, WorldShare Interlibrary Loan? If you answered yes, then we have the event just for YOU!
On Thursday, June 27 at 12 pm, OCLC is hosting a seminar, Getting ready for OCLC WorldShare ILL: Tools and Tips. This no-charge workshop will provide information to help you begin using the new OCLC WorldShare® Interlibrary Loan service. A member of OCLC’s Training team will provide instruction on how to manage borrowing and lending activities in the new service. You will also hear an update on WorldShare Interlibrary Loan, including recently added features and plans for future enhancements. This seminar is being hosted in the Chicago Authors Room, at the Chicago Public library.
Looking for other OCLC resource sharing events at this year’s conference? Plan to visit OCLC at Booth 1612 in the exhibit hall, or add other OCLC programs to your ALA schedule. Two meetings of special interest to resource sharing librarians are:
Putting the “E” in Interlibrary Loan: Using new OCLC tools to share electronic resources
OCLC Resource Sharing and ILLiad User Group meeting
Not going to ALA Annual?
Then you should plan to attend a July 10 Virtual Resource Sharing and ILLiad User Group meeting. These meetings will include the same presentations shared at the User Group meeting in Chicago. They will feature updates on WorldShare Interlibrary Loan and information about recent enhancements to the ILLiad service.
