IHLS Offices Closing Due to Weather

Due to the pending inclement weather today, IHLS will close our buildings as follows:

·         Edwardsville closes at 11:00 a.m.
·         Decatur closes at 1:00 p.m.
·         Carterville closes at 2:00 p.m.

All libraries may not receive delivery today. We will get to them as soon as we can.

IHLS Offices closed Monday, February 18

Just a reminder that all IHLS offices will be closed and delivery will not operate Monday, February 18, in observance of President's Day. 

All four will reopen February 19th, and additional delivery routes may run to compensate for volume.

Seeking Potential Candidates for IHLS Board Elections

The IHLS Nominating Committee is searching for potential candidates for the 2013 IHLS Board Elections. The following positions on the board are up for election this year:

1 Public Library Representative
4 Public Library Trustee Representatives
There are currently no open seats for representatives from Academic, School or Special libraries.

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/IHLS2013nomination  with board members and colleagues--any Public Library professionals and/or Public Library Trustees who may be interested in serving a three year term on the IHLS Board of Directors. Please complete the survey yourself if you are interested.

Only people interested in appearing on the election ballot should complete the survey. The Nominating committee will consider all survey responses and will select candidates to appear on the ballot. The committee has several factors to consider in creating a balanced ballot in accordance with the IHLS by-laws. Completing the survey does not guarantee one’s appearance on the ballo
