Part-time Librarian (Danville)

The Danville Area Community College library is seeking an individual to fill a part-time position at the reference desk. Schedule will range from 10 to 12 hours per week with morning availability required and some evening hours desired. Primary duties include assisting library patrons in person, on chat, or by phone. Proficiency with technology and the ability to explain basic computer skills and online library resources to customers are required. May also be assigned to assist with special events or work on projects as assigned by the Dean or Reference and Technical Services Librarians. This person must be enthusiastic and interested in helping students and other patrons with their library needs. Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree and library experience desired. Experience working with college students, flexibility and an ability to work more hours when needed are a plus.

Library Director (Dixon)

The Dixon Public Library Board of Trustees seeks a candidate who will provide excellent library services to the community today and innovative leadership for the future. The Library Director will supervise a staff of 14 (8.85 FTE) and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Library operations. The Director will report to the Library Board of Trustees and will serve as the Municipal Library Dept. Head within the City of Dixon.

Library Director (Port Byron)

Located in Port Byron, Illinois, on the bank of the Mississippi River, River Valley District Library is in the consulting stage of a future library expansion.

Youth Services Librarian (Warrenville)

Research Literature Bibliographer (Chicago)

Job Overview
The primary role of the Research Literature Bibliographer is to develop and execute a strategy for systematically sourcing all available research literature, published and unpublished, for all disciplines of social impact targeted by the IGP (Education, Youth Development, International Development, Critical Human Needs, Economic Development, Disaster Relief, Arts, Sustainability, Health, Criminal Justice, Science & Technology, Culture and Identity). The Research Literature Bibliographer must not only be intimately familiar with the breadth of academic, public, and private research databases available, s/he must also be adept at identifying academic/professional journals and other online and offline sources of research literature relevant to social impact. The successful Research Literature Bibliographer will be able to deliver research literature bibliographies that are definitively comprehensive and beyond the reproach of experts in their respective fields of social impact. The Research Literature Bibliographer will collaborate with the Chief Genomic Officer, Data Science Director, and various IGP R&D teams to ensure the IGP becomes the de facto standard across the social sector for research literature references.
