Reference Librarian - Galesburg Public Library

An MLS from ALA-accredited program and library experience is preferred and/or extensive, comprehensive experience with computer technology. Will be responsible for managing the design, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of all technology and computer-based activities for the library, including but not limited to the on-line circulation and catalog system, local area networks, microcomputers, software, electronic resources, Internet and e-mail.  Ability to write well and speak in public is critical, along with strong organizational skills, composure to work under pressure and a sense of humor.  Hiring range:  $40,560 to $52,000 depending on qualifications.  Benefits include 15 days of vacation first year and 20 thereafter, paid holidays, health insurance, IMRF and Social Security.
