What’s Next for L2?

L2

LibraryLearning (L2) (Library Directory and Learning Calendar) began in 2008 as a continuing education calendar and became a directory of all system member libraries in Illinois. While L2 has been great, the time has come for a new calendar. Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS) recently received a special grant from the Illinois State Library for a total restructure and refresh of L2, with input from IHLS and SHARE, that will result in a more robust and flexible platform that better suits the ongoing needs of all those who use L2. RAILS has hired a design group for the redo.

Every individual Illinois library staff member and trustee should have an L2 profile.Update L2 Now so You and Your Library Are Ready for the New Version

Individuals and libraries should update their L2 profiles before the new calendar and directory is launched next year. This will also ensure that other members will be able to find the most up-to-date information about your library. Library directors and other library employees with elevated edit permissions in L2 can update most of the library's info (address, phone number, etc.) for the library.

The attached pamphlet (PDF) will help you get started on updating your profile.
