LaSalle Public Library

Due to the current Director having to relocate out-of-the area, the LaSalle Public Library Board of Trustees is searching for an experienced, collaborative, and service-orientated library professional to fill this crucial position.  Located at the intersection of Interstates 39 and 80 and 7 miles from Starved Rock State Park, the LaSalle Public Library serves a diverse community including residents (population 9582) and individuals living in the Illinois Valley, which includes the towns of Peru, Spring Valley, Oglesby, and Utica.  The Library is a historic Carnegie building which was renovated and added a 5000 square-feet addition in 2003.  The new Director would lead a staff of 7 staff members with an annual budget of $475,000 and work directly with the Board Trustees who are appointed by the Mayor. In conjunction with the Board and staff, the Director strives to meet the needs of the community by connecting people with equitable access to resources, services, programs and technology.
