
IHLS staff recently met with our insurance carrier to discuss the liability of bed bugs. Based on their advice, we've drafted an internal procedure to help us keep our members safe by ensuring that bed bugs are not spread through system delivery. Per this procedure, if materials arrive at the system from a library where a bed bug infestation has been discovered, IHLS will stop all deliveries until the library provides a report from a pest control company stating the library was not or is no longer infested.
