IHLS COVID-19 UPDATE: Delivery Suspended Through May 30

Dear IHLS Members,

Today, Governor Pritzker announced that he would be extending the stay-at-home order for Illinois through the end of May. In compliance, IHLS Delivery will continue to be suspended, and all IHLS locations will remain closed through May 30, 2020, or until the governor's executive order is lifted. 

Administrative staff will continue to work remotely so that IHLS can continue to provide you with support and resources as they become available. The best way to reach staff during this time is by email. Not sure who to contact? Visit the IHLS Staff by Department page to find the proper staff members and their email addresses.

Meanwhile, IHLS continues to update the resources on the IHLS COVID-19 Updates and Resources webpage. In fact, we've recently divided the single page into four main pages: IHLS updates, about the virus, government mandates and guidance, and resources for librarians.

The databases mentioned above are searchable and filterable to help you easily find resources pertinent to your audiences. You can also submit ideas and resources not currently listed.

Additionally, the American Library Association is holding a webinar titled "Looking Ahead, Planning for Reopening" this Friday, April 24, at 1 p.m. CT. This webinar will examine the eventual reopenings of libraries. Library directors looking at options may find this webinar useful. You'll find webinar registration and webinar details here.
