The Web & IT Administrator supports staff hardware and software along with website updates and services. This position works closely with the Web Developer and Network Administrator as well as with the IT Director to implement and monitor the functions of the computer systems and website updates. Installation and maintenance of computer and server resources for IHLS is a primary focus.

The Sorter is a part-time position. The primary role of the Sorter is to assist in the daily sorting of books and other library materials transported by IHLS courier drivers. Other responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of the delivery tubs and bags, shelving IHLS books, delivering library materials to IHLS staff, and performing other clerical duties.
Courier Drivers are a critical component to the provision of customer service. These positions sort and deliver books and other library materials to and from member libraries. Courier Driver services are provided Mondays through Fridays.
There is an immediate opening for a Library Assistant III in the Circulation Department. The position is part-time, up to 30 hours per week, including daytime, evening and weekend hours, working at the Circulation Desk at both our Downtown Library and the Alton Square Library. Participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund IMRF) is required. The candidate must have excellent customer service skills. The Senior Library Specialist - Information Desk Specialist is centrally involved in the Library’s Research and Learning program, providing evening and weekend research and information service to users at the Information Desk. Daily personal contacts, mainly face-to-face and via online and telephone, with SIUE faculty, staff, students and community users, are an integral and vital part of the job responsibilities for the Information Desk Specialist. The selected candidate will assist with evaluating, using, and assessing online resources and services and will help with circulation activities, including stacks maintenance and supervising student assistants, during evening and weekend hours of operation.
