After the installation of IHLS's three automated material-handling system machines in late Fall 2025, the IHLS Delivery guidelines will include a Rubber Bands Consideration: It is recommended to eliminate the use of rubber bands on any items intended for IHLS delivery.

For SHARE member libraries that may have concerns about their cases opening during transit, it is recommended that they use a sticky transit label to secure CDs, A/V item binders, or DVD cases. Placing the label from the front to the back of the item around the opening may help prevent this from occurring. The image below provides an example of how to use the sticky receipt paper for this purpose.
