IHLS Delivery staff would like to address an important change regarding our delivery system: the switch to a new style of tubs for transporting materials.

We made the decision to transition away from the old Rubbermaid tubs due to ongoing issues with durability. Many of you may have experienced or heard about the frequent cracking and breaking of these tubs, which unfortunately led to water damage for member-owned materials. The costs associated with replacing these damaged tubs were becoming unsustainable, and it was clear that a more reliable solution was needed.

We have selected new tubs that are designed to endure regular use and have a significantly longer lifespan. They are expected to last several years, in contrast to the old style which typically lasted only six months after the quality declined a few years ago. Notably, these new tubs are waterproof, providing an extra layer of protection for the materials we transport.

While the new tubs weigh approximately one pound more, they maintain the same maximum weight limit of 40 pounds, with a recommended weight limit of 35 pounds, as specified on our website. It's important for us to adhere to these guidelines to comply with the regulations set to ensure the safety of our workers. It's crucial to understand that this weight limit is strict, not just a suggestion. Exceeding this limit can pose risks during handling and transportation. With the new style tubs, we have installed max fill lines to help prevent tubs from going over.

We believe this change will greatly enhance our delivery service, ensuring that your collections remain safe and intact. Thank you for your understanding and support as we make this necessary transition. If you need additional information about how to use these new style tubs, visit our website or ask your delivery driver for a live demonstration. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our delivery team via the Delivery Help Desk.
