New Cataloger for the Cataloging Maintenance Center

The Cataloging Maintenace Center (CMC) has recently added a new cataloger to their team: Ryan Rafferty. The CMC catalogs local authors, history, genealogy, special collections, database cleanup, and training.

Ryan Rafferty grew up on the family farm located between Champaign and Bloomington, ILL. Currently, he lives in Mahomet with his wife, two children, and a miniature schnauzer. Ryan has a background in education and academic librarianship. He held a variety of positions at the University of Illinois Chicago's Library of the Health Sciences satellite library that used to be located on the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign campus. Ryan enjoys attending his children's activities, cooking/baking, exercising, golfing, reading, and listening to music. 

 


Cataloging Maintenance Center (logo)

The Cataloging Maintenance Center (CMC) provides statewide cataloging support for Illinois libraries, including free original and copy cataloging of eligible special collections, consultation on metadata projects, database cleanup for LLSAPs, cataloging training, and more. Funding for the CMC is provided through the Illinois State Library and the Secretary of State and administered by Illinois Heartland Library System.
